Kritavidya Academy, a Mysore-based educational training organisation, has tied up with Career Launcher (CL) – the national leader in admission-test preparation – to train aspirants of CLAT (Common Law Admission Test – for admission into the National Law Universities or NLUs), CAT, GRE, GMAT, Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) and CSAT (for IAS, IFS and IPS). While the BE and MBA degrees enjoy adequate exposure, the same cannot be said of the awareness about and perception of Law as a fruitful career.

Legal complexities in a rapidly evolving economy have created a demand for ready, competent legal counsel among corporate houses today.

The demand, thus, for savvy law graduates of National Law Universities (NLUs) armed with the right skills, for key industry positions, has surged commensurately. Admission to 11 of the 14 NLUs is conducted through the CLAT and individual tests administered by NLU, Delhi and NLU, Orissa. Eligibility for admission to the NLUs is, as usual, the PUC- or 12th Standard-pass or equivalent in any stream. With the change in the structure of the Civil Services (Prelims) exams coming into effect in June 2011, the playing field for under-30 science and engineering graduates will be levelled with that for graduates of popular subjects such as the pure sciences and humanities, as was not the case until now.

It was founded and led by IIM and NLU alumni, has been a consistent market leader and achieved outstanding results in both MBA and NLU admissions over the past eight years, with 80% of the students admitted to the NLUs having been trained by CL-LST. The Mysore center is situated at Kalidasa Road, in Jayalakshmipuram and can be reached at 2411261 for information on careers in Law, admission to the NLUs and other esteemed Law universities and CSAT.
