It will extend financial assistance after PUC

SHIMOGA: Assistant general manager of the Canara Bank (Shimoga Region) V.R. Bylur said here on Wednesday that "CANCHAMP" a new special saving scheme, which had been launched by the bank, was aimed to encourage the children to pursue higher education with the financial assistance being offered by it.

Distributing the savings accounts books of the scheme at the Sarvodaya Primary School he said the new savings scheme was very helpful to the parents who were not in a position to bear the expenditure of higher education of their children.

He said that under the scheme the bank would extend financial assistance for higher education after PUC if the parents opened the savings accounts in the name of their children under this scheme.

District Information Officer Devarajaiah presided over the function.
