Budgetary provision will be made for special children with deformities

PANAJI: The State Government is keen to set up a school for visually challenged children in the State, Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane has said. It is estimated that there are 4,000 visually impaired children in Goa.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the second phase of the State-owned Sanjay Research Centre for differently-abled children on Tuesday.

Mr. Rane said necessary budgetary provision would be made in the forthcoming budget for the welfare of special children with deformities.
