BrandScan, the annual market research fair, conducted by the students of T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) would be held here on November 13 and 14.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Dean (Academics) of TAPMI Simon George said BrandScan was an initiative by the students of 1992-1994 batch of TAPMI. BrandScan is a fun-filled academic, market research fair. It has handled over 200 projects in the last 18 years.

Holding the fair in Manipal has a special significance as the university town attracted students from throughout the world. This makes it possible for the companies to have the right kind of samples for their surveys.

BrandScan is a platform where the students of TAPMI are exposed to live projects from reputed corporates in a “town mela” like environment.

Dean (Planning and Development) Chowdari Prasad said BrandScan had a unique way of eliciting unbiased and natural responses through the use of disguised games. It boasted a clientele consisting of blue chip companies from various domains ranging from FMCG, consumer electronics to the automobile industry, he said. Student Convener of BrandScan, Abhishek Agarwal, said professional guidance and consultations from reputed research agencies had helped BrandScan develop a systematic three-phase research approach.
