Bangalore: A 16-year-old resident of the Government Boys' Home on Hosur Road here gave the slip to officials of the Department of Woman and Child Development and fled the Victoria Hospital. Though this happened on February 28, the case was registered only on March 3.
The boy was found by members of a non-governmental organisation at the Bangalore City Railway Station on February 16. He was admitted to the Boys' Home.
A few days later he fell ill and was admitted to Victoria Hospital.
“A private security guard was designated to stay with him at night. But the boy escaped,” Rajendra Prasad, Superintendent of the Government Boy's Home, told The Hindu.
“We are looking for him at bus stations, railway stations, cinemas and at other places,” the police said.
