The State Government is considering setting up of a model civil engineering college, according to Higher Education Minister V.S. Acharya.

He said that the college would help build talented human resource to solve infrastructure problems in the State. The Government will finalise the details regarding the proposed college after getting inputs from prominent private engineering colleges. The demand for civil engineering courses had increased of late in the wake of the increasing job opportunities due to large number of infrastructure projects being implemented in the country, he pointed out.
