The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) on Wednesday issued notices to Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S. Suresh Kumar, the former Minister S.N. Krishnaiah Setty and senior IAS officer V.P. Baligar to appear before the task force in connection with alleged illegal denotification of land in the city.

Told to depose

They have been asked to depose before the Deputy Superintendent of Police (BMTF), who is investigating the case.

The case

The three have been named as accused in a case where 4.2 acres of land was denotified to help a person, brother of an RSS functionary. The complaint was filed by RTI activist and social worker Dinesh Kallalli.

Files sought

Sources in the BMTF said that the task force had written to Chief Secretary S.V. Ranganath seeking the files and details pertaining to the denotification of 11 acres of land, adjoining the land in question.
