Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S. Suresh Kumar, who is the prime accused in a land denotification case being investigated by the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF), has sought — and got — extension of time through his advocates.

The BMTF had issued notices to him, former Housing Minister S.N. Krishnaiah Setty and senior IAS officer V.P. Baligar, asking them to depose before the Deputy Superintendent of Police who is investigating the case.

Mr. Suresh Kumar was summoned by BMTF to appear in person.

However, he sought an extension.

The BMTF granted him one week as also for the other accused as its officials also require more time to verify their statements.
