The Lokayukta police on Thursday filed a closure or ‘B’ report before the Special Lokayukta Court in the case against Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) R.P. Sharma.

The court had referred the case to the Lokayukta police for investigation after a businessman, S.M. Alex, filed a private complaint before judge N.K. Sudhindra Rao alleging that the IPS officer had misused his powers to illegally acquire property Doddagubi in Bangalore rural district. The complainant had also alleged that Mr. Sharma had suppressed facts in his annual declaration of assets.

‘Null and void’

According to sources, the closure report filed by the Lokayukta police states that the allegations were found to be null and void.
