Following a report in The Hindu , ‘It’s a stressful wait for ring road buses in the evenings’ on October 6, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation has said the depot managers concerned have been directed to ensure prompt operation of services on the ring roads.

In a communiqué, BMTC Chief Traffic Manager (Operations) said 4,531 trips were being operated through 511 routes on ring roads. There could be some variations in operations due to passenger rush and heavy traffic during evening peak hours. A survey by BMTC indicated that most of the services operated normally, the officer said. Directions have been issued to operate trips as per Form 4 (trip timetable) issued to conductors, he said.
