It sells itself as the coldest ice cream in the world. Leading Connecticut-based brand Mini Melts was launched here in Bangalore. The cryogenically frozen dessert will be available in 20 outlets across Bangalore.

Shoeab Salim, managing director of Honeybee Amusements Pvt. Ltd., which holds the franchise for the global brand, said: “Given the onset of a sizzling summer in India, we’ve brought in a perfect combination to beat the heat.” He added that the product is featured in the World’s Top 10 innovative ice cream products.

Mini Melts is priced Rs. 40 for an 82 gm cup. Flavours include banana split, birthday cake, chocolate, cotton candy, mint chocolate, Oreo cookie and cream, double chocolate chip, strawberry and vanilla.

“Mini Melts are delicious kernels of ice cream stored at extremely cold temperatures. The ice cream is produced at a temperature of minus 190 degrees Celsius which helps to lock all the flavours. Unlike traditional ice cream, there is no air whipped inside it as a result a consumer gets a pure ice cream,” said Mr. Salim.
