‘Emergence of KJP will not affect BJP’s prospects in polls’
In order to strengthen the party from the grass roots, the district unit of the BJP will be launching a door-to-door campaign from February 4, its local unit president T.G. Narendranath has said.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Narendranath said that on February 4, party workers would visit every house in ward number five and tell people about the development projects taken up by the party in the last four and a half years.
The next day, the workers would cover ward numbers 16 to 30, and on February 6 and 7, they would cover the remaining wards. The concluding ceremony of the campaign would be held on February 9, he said.
To a question, Mr. Narendranath said that he was among the aspirants for the party ticket for Chitradurga Assembly constituency.
He said that the emergence of the Karnataka Janata Paksha would not affect the prospects of the BJP in the Assembly polls.
“The BJP is a national party and the workers all over the State are its strength. It will not be affected by the conspiracy of a few self-centred leaders,” he said.
