Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva morcha on Friday set up the ‘NaMo’ tea stall near the Durgamma circle here to campaign for the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Nemiraj Nayak, the BJP’s district unit president and former MLA, inaugurated the tea stall and formally served tea to the passers by.Mr. Nayak said that efforts were on to strengthen the party and win the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.Strategic places

He said that such tea stall would be set up at various strategic points in the city and also in other parts of the district. K.A. Ramalingappa, Guttiganur Virupaksha Gouda, Y. Sudhir Kumar. Shivakrishnamma, Dattatreya Reddy were among other prominent leaders present.

Mr. Nayak said that all efforts would be put in to ensure the victory of the party candidate from Bellary Parliamentary constituency.

To a question, he said that the party would welcome B. Sriramulu, MLA and President of BSR Congress, if he planned to return to the party fold. “M.S. Somalingappa, former MLA, is likely to be fielded as the party candidate. In the event of BSR Congress merging with BJP and the party high command decides to issue ticket to Mr. Sriramulu, it will be abided by and all efforts would be made for the victory of the party candidate,” Mr. Nayak said to the presspersons.
