Karnataka Janata Paksha leader V. Dhananjaya Kumar has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a den of corruption.
Speaking to presspersons after campaigning for the KJP candidate at Amminbhavi village, near here, on Tuesday, Mr. Dhananjaya Kumar said corruption was deep-rooted in the BJP.
He said Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa, the former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, and Ministers R. Ashok and C.T. Ravi indulged in large-scale corruption. BJP leader L.K. Advani has been shielding these leaders, he charged.
On Mr. Advani calling KJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa a corrupt man, Mr. Dhananjaya Kumar said people would not believe such statements. The BJP leaders were trying to tarnish Mr. Yeddyurappa’s image fearing that the KJP would form the next government in the State, he said.
Mr. Dhananjaya Kumar said the KJP had received good response in Hyderabad Karnataka region, south Karnataka and central Karnataka.
Regional parties would emerge victorious in the State, he added.
