The Bharatiya Janata Party released its third and final list of candidates — comprising three names — for the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday night.

The former Minister B. Sriramulu, who rejoined the party recently, will contest from Bellary. C.H. Vijayashankar, MLC, who had raised a banner of revolt for a few days over ignoring his candidature from Mysore, has been fielded from Hassan. He had earlier refused to heed the party’s request to shift to Hassan and had declared that he would not contest from any seat other than Mysore. Sources said the party delayed announcing the third list as talks were on with Mr. Vijayashankar to convince him to abide by the party’s instructions.
