“Bhatha Vaibhava,” a programme to create awareness among farmers on the native varieties of paddy will be held at the farm of Jagadish Naik in Malavagoppa on November 9. The programme is jointly organised by the Department of Agriculture, Bhatha Ulisi Andolana, and Sahaja Samrudha Forum. Joint Director of Agriculture Shivamurthappa will inaugurate the programme. Councillor R.C. Naik will be present. A total number of 30 varieties of native paddy seeds will be exhibited on the occasion.
