The cultural scenario in Belgaum is enriched with the inauguration of Venugram Samkrutik Pratishthan on Tuesday evening.
Sridhar Kulkarni, Surmani award winner and one of the prominent vocalists from the city, who inaugurated the organisation, said the new organisation should make a qualitative difference in the field of music. Honorary president of Pratishthan Raghavendra Pujar presided over the function organised under the auspices of Kannada and Culture Department and other donors.
The former Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Basavarj Jagajampi, Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise and Customs Akash Shankar Chougale, and social worker Anil Benke were felicitated. Karnataka Sangeet Nritya Academy award winners vocalist Jayashree Ramesh Patnekar, and tabla player Kasimsab L. Jamadar were felicitated.
