Members of the Pragathi Bank Officers' Organisation and Pragathi Bank Staff and Workers Organisation on Thursday staged a daylong dharna in front of the bank's head office here seeking fulfilment of their demands.

Facilities such as pension and provident fund on a par with the sponsor bank, computer allowance, a scientific policy on human resource development, immediate commencement of fresh recruitment process, appointment of sub-staff and regularisation of the services of daily wage workers were among their major demands.

The protesters urged the management to fill all vacant posts immediately as shortage of staff was coming in the way of rendering good service to customers. Sridhar Joshi, general secretary of the officers' organisation, spoke.

President of the officers' organisation C.N. Soppinamath and vice-president of All India Grameen Bank Workers' Organisation Prabhudev were among those present.
