Vikas Souharda Cooperative Bank in Hospet, has earned a net profit of Rs. 2.28 crore in 2012–13, according to bank chairman Vishwanath Hiremath.

The bank, despite the instability of the market and the closure of mining activities, had conducted total business of Rs. 165 crores, mobilised over

Rs. 27 crore deposit and advanced Rs. 66.7 crore. The bank will also be introducing ATM facilities and issuing debit cards to its customers very soon. It will also open a branch in Gangavati and introduce mobile banking services, the chairman added.
