Bangalore: Members of the Pragatipara Sangathanegala Okoota on Saturday demanded a ban on the Sri Rama Sene, whose chief Pramod Muthalik was caught on camera allegedly accepting money to engineer a riot.

They wanted the Government to arrest Mr. Muthalik under the Anti-Terrorist Act immediately and order a CBI probe into the matter.

Agni Sridhar of Karunada Sene, Patapat Nagaraj of Praja Vimochana Chaluvali and Talakadu Chikkarangegowda of the Okoota on Saturday threatened to stage a protest on May 18 if he was not arrested by then.

Describing the expose as a matter of serious concern, Mr. Sridhar told presspersons that it was surprising that the State Government was silent on the issue. “It is a matter of shame for any Government to silently witness such a thing during its tenure ,” he said.
