The District Administration has banned playing of the Hindi song “Banayenge Mandir” during the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi festival in the district. A release here on Sunday said that between September 9 and 19, the Ganesh Mandalis have been instructed not to play this song during the processions or at the pendals where the Ganesh idol is placed. The District Administration feels that the song could create communal tension as it essentially talks of building Ram temple at Ayodhya.
