The Kannada film industry, which was sitting fingers crossed over the High Court's decision on bail application moved by ‘popular star' Darshan, is heaving a sigh of relief. Conditional bail granted by the court on Friday will provide the much-needed relief to many producers, whose projects were stranded because of the arrest of the actor on charge of domestic violence.

The Karnataka Film Producers' Association (KFPA), which stood firmly behind the actor during the time of crisis, has welcomed the court's decision. President of the association Munirathna, who earlier played a major role in banning Nikhita Tukral, for creating problem in Darshan's life and withdrew later because of public pressure said that, the release of the actor brought cheers to the film fraternity.

Actor Puneet Rajkumar has welcomed the verdict in the interest of the film industry. Naganna, director of Sangolli Rayanna , the much-awaited film under production is also equally happy.

Dinakar Toogudeepa, brother of Darshan and director of Sarathi , a recent successful film of the actor, said that the actor would appear before his fans shortly and apologise for the mistake he committed.

There are problems in every family and now everything has been sorted out, he added.
