The software major, Wipro Ltd., will announce the award winners of Earthian, a sustainability programme for schools and colleges, on Saturday at a function on the premises of the Indian Institute of Science here. Wipro Chairperson Azim Premji will felicitate the winners.

Earthian aims to foster excellence in sustainability thought and action among young people in school and colleges.

The second edition received over 2,000 registrations and 900 submissions from across the globe of which 20 institutes have been selected as winners by an independent jury, a release said.

Mr. Premji will also participate in an interactive session on Saturday.

Talks will be delivered by authors of Himalaya-Mountains of Life, Sandesh Kadur and Kamal Bawa; author of The Edge of Physics Anil Ananthaswamy, and freelancer with BBC Natural History and National Geographic Channel Kalyan Verma.

Robots Unlimited , a play directed by Bangalore Little Theatre, will be premiered.

The event, commencing at 9.30 a.m., will be held at J.N. Tata Auditorium in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
