MANGALORE: Police probing the attack on a prayer hall belonging to Believers Church of India and the assault on its pastor at Bantaguri in Bantwal taluk on Easter Sunday, have arrested four persons in this connection.

The accused are Anand, Gururaj and Umesh, all from Bantwal, and Umesh from Suratkal, Mangalore taluk, according to Superintendent of Police B. Dayananda.

Some alleged members of Hindu organisations had vandalised prayer halls at Balmatta here and at Bantaguri and assaulted people in the second incident. Mangalore East (Kadri) police had arrested six persons in connection with the Balmatta incident.
