Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah has predicted dissolution of the Assembly in 15 to 20 days and mid-term poll by April or May this year.

Mr. Siddaramaiah was here for a short while on the way to Hadagali to attend the funeral of M.P. Prakash, former Deputy Chief Minister who passed away on Wednesday in Bangalore. Mr. Siddaramaiah told presspersons on Friday that Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa was facing serious charges and there was no option left for him except to relinquish his job or dissolve the Assembly and seek a fresh mandate. He alleged that corruption was rampant in all departments.

Describing 2011 as a year of elections for Karnataka, he said the Congress was geared to face a mid-term poll.
