Farmers of Gonipura, Tippur and K. Gollahalli villages near Bidadi on Sunday resolved to resist acquisition of land for the proposed township being formed as part of the controversial Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project. This was decided at a meeting organised by the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, which has launched a protest to stop acquisition of agricultural land for the townships proposed under the project.
