The final figures on enrolment of underprivileged children under RTE quota in private unaided schools across Karnataka show that the performance of Bangalore division has been the worst.

While the State average enrolment is 37.04 per cent (41,663 seats filled out of 1,12,474 vacancies), enrolment in Bangalore division is 27.74 per cent (14,058 seats filled out of 50,685 vacancies).

Enrolment in other divisions are: Mysore: 43.09 per cent, Belgaum: 45.70 per cent and Gulbarga: 44.57 per cent.

Among the cities, Bangalore has the poorest enrolment, with 4,276 seats filled out of 27,960 seats which opened up for quota.
