Following the heated debate in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) council over the severe water crisis in the city, a special meeting has been scheduled by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

The meeting will be chaired by BWSSB Minister S. Suresh Kumar, while Mayor D. Venkatesh Murthy and BWSSB Chairperson Gaurav Gupta will attend. The meeting will be held on July 10, 11, 12 and 13 at Cauvery Bhavan in two sessions. The morning session will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., while the evening session will be held between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The meeting will address water scarcity issues pertaining to all eight zones in the city.

Councillors invited

On July 10, councillors from Byatarayanapura zone (morning) and Mahadevapura (evening) can participate. Those from Bommanahalli zone (morning) and Dasarahalli and Rajarajeshwarinagar zones (evening) can participate on July 11. On July 12, issues pertaining to South zone (morning) and East zone (evening) will be discussed, while councillors from West zone can attend the meeting on July 13.
