HUBLI: The Karnataka State Government Daily Wage Employees’ Federation has urged the Government to take steps to expeditiously solve problems of daily wage workers.

In a press release issued here, president of the federation K.S. Sharma welcomed the budget proposal to increase monthly wage of such employees who had completed 10 years of service to Rs. 1,000.

However, Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa had not fulfilled the demand of regularisation of service of daily wage workers who had completed 10 years of service, he said.

Mr. Sharma warned that if no positive steps were taken to resolve the issue at the earliest, the federation would be forced resume its indefinite agitation.
