New lounge for air passengers at Shantinagar TTMC

An air-conditioned lounge for passengers travelling to Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) was inaugurated at Shanthinagar Traffic and Transit Management Centre (TTMC) on Thursday. Also formally opened were the central offices of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). The 562 sq ft lounge, with a seating capacity of 18, provides world-class facility for passengers bound for the airport. A press release said it is equipped with a television set, drinking water, luggage racks and so on.

The BMTC's central offices at Shanthinagar TTMC are spread over 32,000 sq ft on two floors. It comprises a conference room, boardroom, GPS control room and so on.

P.B. Ramamurthy, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, inaugurated the new facilities.
