MANGALORE: The organising committee of the "Chithra Bharathi-35" will organise a seven-day Tulu film festival here from April 14 to mark the completion of the 35th year of Chitra Bharathi, a film distributing agency, according to T. A. Srinivas, president of the committee.

In all, 31 Tulu films have been released, and of these chosen films will be screened at the festival, he said in a release. He said that the Chitra Bharathi has completed 35 years.

It will organise a competition of Tulu film songs on April 15, and on April 16 a seminar on Tulu cinema will be held.

The seminar will throw light on the history, status and future of Tulu cinema.

On the same day, 35 persons who have contributed to various fields will be felicitated with the Chithra Bharathi awards.
