MYSORE: A physically challenged man from Bangalore reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in a lodge in the city on Saturday.

The police said the incident came to light on Sunday morning. Nagaraj, 27, a resident of Banashankari in Bangalore, had checked into a lodge on Bangalore-Nilgiri Road on Friday.

He reportedly committed suicide on Saturday night by hanging himself from the ceiling fan. Nagaraj's brother Dore, who arrived in the lodge on Sunday, found trhe body.

The police said Nagaraj, who was running a cycle shop in Banashankari, had objected to his parents' plan to seek a match for him.

Nagaraj said in a suicide note left behind by him that, being a physically challenged person, he did not want to ruin the life of a girl by marrying her. A post-mortem was conducted.
