Belgaum: The city-based Sarvodaya Rashtriya Pratisthan and Sarvodaya Seva Society will be jointly organising a "mass marriage" at Mahatma Gandhi Bhavan on College Road here at 11 a.m. on May 14.

According to a press release here, the organisations will conduct the marriage ceremonies for all eligible couples free of cost and in a simple manner. The bride should not be aged less than 18.

The platform is open to all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Interested candidates are required to settle their proposals before reaching the venue and should register with the host organisation latest by April 15.

But the number of escorts per couple is restricted to 10.

The organisers will provide free of cost "mangalsutra" and wedding costumes to the bride and the bridegroom, praishtan working president Kalyan Rao Muchalambi said.
