Manipal: The Manipal Sand Heart Team, which is known for creating sand and clay sculptures on various social themes, has chosen the subject of the importance of voting.

The team comprising Srinath Manipal, Ravi Hirebettu and Venki Palimaru, have created a clay sculpture on this subject, which was exhibited at the KMC Greens here on Wednesday.

The sculpture shows a voter contemplating on whom he should vote for. A hand with the indelible ink applied on the index finger, is shown on the right side. Two frogs have been shown on either side to depict the practice of defection resorted to by some politicians. Three politicians have been shown in the sculpture. They represent the good and bad politicians.

According to Mr. Manipal, people should not sit at home on polling day giving the excuse that all politicians were corrupt and that there was no point in voting. “Every vote is important. Its power to bring about a change in cannot be ruled out,” he said. .”
