BESCOM disconnection drive from June 12Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), Additional East Division, E2 sub-division, has decided to disconnect all installations with arrears. A mass disconnection drive will be carried out from June 12 to June 17. Consumers may avoid disconnection by clearing arrears. The drive will be taken up in Rajiv Gandhi Colony, Corporation Workers' Colony, Nehru Puram, Police Quarters, Shivaji Nagar and surrounding areas.

Power shutdownThere will no power supply between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday in the areas covered by the F-6 Indian Air Force feeder of Yelahanka. The areas to be affected are IAF, BSF, Astra Zeneka, Venkatala and surrounding areas.

He was elected at the conference held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, recently by the president of Toastmasters International Dilip Abayasekhara.

Body removed from well The body of a 12-year-old boy was fished out from a well at Bedarahalli in the Soladevanahalli police station limits on Thursday. It was suspected that the boy accidentally slipped into the well situated in an open field and was drowned.

However, the police could not establish the identity of the victim. The body was later shifted to M.S. Ramaiah hospital. Investigation is on.
