Fabrics and accessories show from August 4 to 6
BANGALORE: The third edition of the Fabrics and Accessories Trade Show will be organised here from August 4 to 6.
The show aims to provide an impetus to the textile industry by showcasing raw materials used for making readymade garments.
The show will feature fabrics, trimmings, embellishments, threads and related products to meet the sourcing needs of apparel manufacturers, exporters, buying houses, wholesalers and designers.
Exhibitors are expected to arrive from various segments of textile industry. S. Krishna Murthy, organiser of the show, said, "We hope to provide a platform for getting a feel of domestic and international products and also assessing supply-chain partners."
As Bangalore continues to attract domestic and international garment manufacturers, the show will cater for the needs of the textile and clothing industry. Along with information technology and services, the textile manufacturing sector is booming in the city.
Riding on this growth, the show aims at modernising the apparel manufacturing and knitting sectors. While nurturing the growth of the domestic fashion industry, ensuring an efficient supply chain is a priority of this year's show.
The show's theme will be "Pavilion" with the focus on fall/winter trends to provide a glimpse of the colours, textures, weaves and accessories suitable for this season. The organisers expect to attract 85 exhibitors and 3,500 buyers.
Nearly a dozen international players will promote their products.
The show will be held at the Trade Centre of the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation, Whitefield.
