Bangalore: The Centre's decision to introduce environmental studies and human rights in the curriculum has increased the burden on teachers, M.S. Thimappa, former Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University said here on Tuesday. He was speaking at the Teachers' Day function held by the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences, Bidar, on Tuesday. Studies showed that there was very little relation between the education syllabus and the economic successes that students achieved later, he said. Ten retired teachers from the university were felicitated.
