The Hindu Young World Fest will be held from November 6 to 9

BANGALORE: Various competitions conducted by The Hindu will be held in November.
The regional finals of The Hindu Young World Quiz will be held on November 4. The event attracts schools from all across the State. It will be held at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhavan on Miller's Road.
The written preliminary round will start at 2 p.m. and the teams have to report at the venue latest by 1.15 p.m. Six select teams will qualify for the regional finals and one team for the national finals. The grand final will be organised in Madurai.
Any two students form Class 10 to 12 can form a team. The entry cards have been sent to the schools.
After registering the entries, the top portions of the cards will be sent back to the schools and the students must bring them to the venue. There is no entry fee for the event.
The Hindu Young World Fest will be held from November 6 to 9. The preliminary rounds will be held from November 6 to 8 and the grand finale will be held on November 9 at NMKRV College Auditorium, Jayanagar 3rd Block. The event is open for The Hindu-NIE schools. It provides an opportunity to students to showcase their talent in competitions such as group dance, flower arrangement, collage making, cartooning, ceramic tile painting and garland making. The Hindu Young World Painting Competition will be held on November18 at Bishop Cotton Girls' School Auditorium, St. Marks Road, Bangalore. The annual event provides an opportunity for budding artists and attracts students from all across the State. The entries attested by principal or art teacher of a school must be sent to the NIE Coordinator of Circulation Department of The Hindu , Bangalore. Selected students will be intimated individually to attend the finals.
In Mysore, the competition will be held on November 19 at JSS Public School. The entries can be sent to The Hindu , Circulation Department, 868/1, Sriranga Complex, M.G. Road, N.S. Road Junction, Siddappa Square, Chamaraja Mohalla, Mysore.
The topics for juniors (Class IV to VII) are: "Your birthday party," "At the zoo with family," "Fun with friends on the beach" and "You and your pet."
