BANGALORE: After striving for months to get the civic agencies repair the roads and drains in and around Puttenahalli of Bommanahalli City Municipal Council (CMC), residents of this area are now coming together to celebrate "Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava."

The purpose behind this celebration is not only to commemorate 50 years of Karnataka's formation but also ensure that residents enjoy a cultural evening and also a spiritual discourse by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the Art of Living Foundation.

The Federation of J.P. Nagar 7th and 8th Phase Residents' Welfare Associations has organised the programme on November 26 at 6 p.m. on the RBI Playground in Puttenahalli.

Federation president B.N. Prasad told presspersons on Tuesday that more than 10,000 residents will assemble for the discourse.
