`Jim Jim Jimba', to be telecast soon, is being filmed in the picturesque town

SHIMOGA: Tirthahalli, a picturesque Malnad taluk in Shimoga district, continues to be a favourite location for shooting films and television serials.

The latest to exploit its beauty is the Kannada children's serial, "Jim Jim Jimba", being produced by noted filmmaker Ashok Kashyap.

Its production was formally launched by Minister for Home M.P. Prakashat Kotegadde. Mr. Prakash emphasised the need for producing films that enhanced the intellectual level of children.

The serial is being directed by Rekha Rani while Rangnath Partha is the episode director.

Art director Yogish appears in the main role as "Jimba" . The artistes in the serial include, Gurumurthy Varadamoola, Vijayalakshmi, Vishaya Jewoor, Lakshmi, S.R. Girish and Nagendra Jois.

The child artistes are Sumanth, Gouri, Hafizabanu, Atmiya Supreet, Akshar, Pavan, Satish Bapat, Shama and Shanoo. The serial is scheduled to be telecast on the Zee Kannada channel soon.
