BANGALORE: The Department of Pre-University Education has arranged a five-day compulsory content enrichment training programme for government high school teachers who have been promoted as lecturers in government pre-university colleges during the summer vacation.
In a press release, the Commissioner of Pre-University Education said the programme would be held for lecturers teaching history, sociology and Kannada from Bangalore and Mysore Divisions, at St. Philomena Pre-University College, New Banni Mantapa Layout, Mysore, from May 18 to 22.
Simultaneous and similar programme for lecturers in Belgaum and Gulbarga divisions would be held at R.L.S. Composite Pre-University College, Dharwad.
During the second phase, a training programme for lecturers teaching English, economics and political science from across the State would be held at S.J.R. Women’s Pre-University College, 59th Cross, Rajajinagar 4th M Block, Bangalore, from May 25 to 29, the Commissioner said.
Lecturers have been directed to report to the programme at 9 a.m. on the first day.
