BANGALORE: Rashtriya Military School, Bangalore, conducted its investiture ceremony recently. General R.P.R.C. Naidu, the chief guest, honoured new leaders with captaincy badges.

Performances by the school band was the highlight of the event.

The band played numbers such as “Days of Elisa”, “Joyful Joyful”, “Happy Song” and “Diana March”. Gen. Naidu, a former student of the school, recalled his schooldays. This was followed by the pipping of the badges.

Cadet Vikas Kal Kal was selected the school captain and Cadet Jai Prakash the sports captain.

The chief guest administered the oath to the new leaders. It highlighted their purpose and role.

Col. R.K. Sachdeva, MEG Group and Centre, and principal P.K. Sharma were present.

Environment Day

Eco-friendly, going green and carbon footprint are the buzzwords these days. The primary section students of Capitol Public School, J.P. Nagar, observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm. They did their bit for the planet by planting saplings on the school campus. They also pledged to nurture these saplings and protect Mother Earth.

The alumni of civic club (Nature Pals) of Prasiddhi School, Palace Grounds, planted saplings on the day. Principal Prathibha Prabhakar reminded them about their duties and spoke on how they could become active citizens in leaving a clean planet for future generations.

She distributed saplings to class leaders.

Results

The Achala Vidya Mandir has registered 100 per cent pass in the SSLC examination. Bhargavi S., by securing 90.56 per cent, has emerged the topper. Gowtham S. (89.12 per cent) has come second, while Akshay Nayak (85.6 per cent), the third.

Radhika Raja of National Public School, Indiranagar, has scored 99 marks in Communicative Sanskrit. She has scored 481/500 in the Class X CBSE examination.
