The Mysore division of South Western Railways has announced that the Mysore-Shimoga Town-Mysore Intercity Express (16206/16205) will be extended up to Talguppa from Sunday.
In a release, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Anup Dayanand Sadhu said the inaugural service will be flagged off by Minister of State for Railways K.H. Muniyappa at Jambagaru Railway Station, Sagar, on Sunday.
Henceforth, the Mysore-Shimoga Intercity Express will be Mysore-Talaguppa Intercity Express. The train will depart from Mysore at 6 a.m. daily and reach Shimoga town at 11.25 a.m. and depart from Shimoga at 11.30 a.m. and reach Talguppa at 2.15 p.m.
Likewise, the Talguppa-Mysore Intercity Express will depart from Talguppa at 2.45 p.m. daily to reach Shimoga at 4.50 p.m. It will depart from Shimoga at 4.55 p.m. and arrive in Mysore at 10.40 p.m.
The train will have stops at Krishnarajanagar, Holenarsipur, Hassan, Arsikere, Birur, Tarikere, Bhadravati, Shimoga, Anandapuram and Sagar Jambagaru.
