Home Minister has been given two additional portfolios

PANAJI: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, whose coalition government recently completed six months of its tenure, on Monday allocated additional portfolios to the Ministers in his Cabinet putting to rest speculation about bickering among Ministers. Home Minister Ravi Naik has been given additional charge of Women and Child Development and Animal Husbandry, Minister for Information Technology Dayanand Narvekar gets Legislative Affairs and Technical Education, Minister for Urban Development Joaquim Alemao will hold Labour and Employment portfolio, Philip Neri Rodrigues got Legal Metrology, Minister for Transport Pandurang Madkaikar got River Navigation and Manohar Azgaonkar has been given Sports and Youth Affairs charge while Minister for Power Alex Sequeira has been given the additional portfolio of Printing and Stationery. Ministers belonging to the Nationalist Congress Party including Minister for Civil Supplies Jose Philip D’Souza has been allocated Factories and Boilers while Tourism Minister Micky Pacheco has been given Captain of Ports. Minister for Public Works Churchill Alemao of “Save Goa” has been given Rural Development Agency.
