SHIMOGA: The Hoysala College of Management and IT Studies here has come out with a new study package offering MBA course.
College principal D.M. Basavaraj told presspersons here on Monday that the former Minister D.H. Shankaramurthy would launch the new study package at a function to be held at the Mathura Paradise here on Wednesday.
He said that B.R. Ananthan, professor in the Management Studies at the University of Mysore would address the gathering.
He said the new study package prepared envisaging a cost of Rs. 2.5 lakh included the hostel expenses and the laptop computer which would be provided to the students.
He said the students would be taken on a tour in the first year and would be sent abroad in the second year.
A special course in spoken English would be introduced to students hailing from the rural areas.
Mr. Basavaraj said there were ample job opportunities for MBA degree holders and added that the special package had been introduced to make it more beneficial to the students coming from the rural areas.
He said that nearly 1.25 lakh students pursued the MBA courses every year in India. He said all the 60 students having completed the MBA course from the college last year were absorbed for managerial posts.
