Manipal: The Manipal Institute of Technology will be organising the fourth national-level Control Instrumentation Systems Conference (CISCON) here on November 9 and 10.

Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, Joint Director of the Institute P.K.A. Muniswaran said that the objective of CISCON was to provide a platform for presenting the progress made in the field of instrumentation and control. The conference would also focus on the wide spectrum of issues and challenges in the field. The conference is being sponsored by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Nearly 100 delegates from different parts of the country from reputed institutions, including IITs, NITs and Anna University, would be attending the conference. About 70 papers covering areas such as computer applications, modelling and simulation, automation and application of robots, future trends and challenges in process instrumentation, process control, telecommunication network, biomedical instrumentation, digital signal processing and others had been received. Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University Rajasekharan Warrier would inaugurate the conference, Prof. Muniswaran said.
