MANGALORE: A large section of cable television subscribers in the city have been deprived of Namma TV, a popular local news and entertainment television channel, for the past few days.Namma TV, a free-to-air channel used to transmit in-house programmes through its studios at Chitrapura-Kulai near here which used to reach the homes through cable operators.Namma TV is being transmitted by cable operators in coastal Karnataka from Kulai in Mangalore up to Karwar in Uttara Kannada.

Viewers in the city have complained that they are not receiving this channel. Namma TV, in a press release, has stated that the problem had arisen after four cable operators in the city had formed a federation.
