MYSORE: IPS officer Rama Subba took charge as Superintendent of Mysore District Police on Monday.

Mr. Subba, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, West Division), Bangalore, before his appointment, was accorded a warm welcome by the senior officials of Mysore district police.

Mr. Subba took charge from Additional Superintendent of Police Bhagwan Das, who was in-charge after Superintendent of Police Murugan’s transfer.

A native of Kolar, Mr. Subba began his career as a lecturer in the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bangalore. He joined the police force as Deputy Superintendent of Police in 1985. He told presspersons that he was familiar with Mysore as he had done his post-graduation in Mysore University.
