`Review recommendations of Fifty Pay Commission'
MYSORE: MLC Maritibbe Gowda has alleged that the Fifth Pay Commission that recently submitted its report to the Government had failed to rectify the anomalies in the pay structure of assistant teachers and lecturers of high schools and pre-university colleges respectively.
Speaking to presspersons here on Sunday, he urged the Government to review the recommendations of the commission.
Objecting to the recent decision of some universities in the State to admit students to eleven courses through a Common Entrance Test, Mr. Maritibbe Gowda said that it would be detrimental to the interests of students from rural areas. He took exception to the decision of the University of Mysore against including English as a subject for BBM students.
The MLC hekd the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Mysore Southern Region responsible for not releasing salaries to teachers of aided educational institutions.
