BANGALORE: Here's some bonanza for Kannada theatre enthusiasts. Till April 8, the city's Ravindra Kalakshetra will be abuzz with a theatre festival. On the sidelines will be a "Kavighosti," "Janapada Mela" and presentation of the Nadachethana Award.With the first play "Kapila" by Dr. C. Veeranna having been staged already, the festival will get livelier with "Nagara Bettha" of Sadiyapu Krishna Bhatta. The play, directed by Mico Shivashankar and enacted by Ranganirantara, will be staged at 7 p.m. on April 4.

On the agenda for April 5 is "Divyambari," a play directed by Y.D. Badami. For April 6, the play "Odalala" based on the novel of Devanuru Mahadeva is scheduled. Sri Panditaradhya Shivacharyaswamiji's "Ankusha" directed by K.S. Sharath is the play for April 7.
